4 Years Later....Still going STRONG!

I have taken a "brief" hiatus from the blogosphere, but am still baking away like a mad woman getting these little lively cakes out to all you Austinites! I'll be adding several more posts of all the fun events I have been able to be a part of thanks to this amazing business venture!

800 Mini Cupcakes For Teachers Convention

This is an order we did of 800 Mini Cupcakes in turquoise & lime green for a Teachers Convention at the Austin Convention Center. The booth we set up was for eChalk. They were all in Lab Coats and reminded me of a set for Nickelodeon : -)

SXSW Event @ Stubbs

Stubbs is one of the best venues for SXSW so I was super excited when C3 Presents hired us to set up a Cupcake Bar for their party. We brought in 400 Mini Cupcakes with several different toppings to customize the cupcakes.

The crowd loved giving their cuppies a "Slam Dunk" into the different candy bowls. His expression says it all...gotta Love L's Cupcakes!

SXSW Cupcake Social 2.0

SXSW is always a fun time in Austin when bands from all over come to play and host parties aournd town during the weeks of Spring Break. There is also an interactive portion of SXSW that attracts bloggers. One of my favorites, Cupcakes Take the Cake, came for the 2nd year and threw a Cupacake Social! There were about 10 Bakeries providing samples for 100s of people who showed up giving them a taste of the Austin Cupcake Scene.

Ladybug Birthday

Today I made some cute ladybug cupcakes for a 1st Birthday Party. Perfect for the first Saturday of of Spring :).  We've got chocolate and confetti cupcakes with vanilla icing and chocolate chips for dots.

Cupcake & Wine Pairing with Apothecary Cafe & Wine Bar

Working with CharityBash has introduced me to some great new outlets for my cupcakes around town.  Lately we have been partnering with our friends at Apothecary Cafe & Wine Bar to create fun Cupcake/Wine Pairings. Here's a shot of our new debuting flavor, Mexican Vanilla!

 

The flight consisted of 3 glasses of wine and 3 bite size cupcakes 

1) Daniel Gehrs Gweurztraminer "08 - Monterey, California paired with a Mexican vanilla cupcake with  Mexican vanilla buttercream (this was a fun new flavor for us and a keeper! but where can I re-up on Mexican Vanilla in Austin?!)

2) Tenuta Maggiore 'Sentito' Cortese '07 - Lombardy, Italy paired with Lemon Zest cupcake topped with lemon buttercream

3) Ercavio Tempranillo Roble '07 - La Mancha, Spain paired with Chocolate cupcake with rich Giradelli Chocolate buttercream

Now that's a Happy Hour!
